King Harvest is a new festival celebrating rambling roots and cosmic country, spanning old-time, folk, bluegrass and new grass. Set on a beautiful farm in Hampshire, just 30 minutes from London and two minutes from Junction seven off the M3, King Harvest offers a full day of live music, community spirit and rural escape.
A celebration of Americana
King Harvest brings together a line-up of outstanding live artists from across the Americana spectrum. From high-energy bluegrass to heartfelt folk and boundary-pushing new grass, the festival is a meeting point for musicians and music lovers alike. The event is designed to be immersive. Many of the artists will spend the day among the crowd, sharing in the experience beyond the stage.
Open jams and workshops
Musicians are encouraged to bring their instruments and join in. Festival-goers familiar with the many strands of Americana are invited to gather in corners of the farm to form scratch bands, playing folk, old-time, bluegrass and country throughout the day.
Alongside the open mic stage, there will be workshops and open jam sessions for all to enjoy. With multiple informal spots across the site for impromptu performances, music will flow from morning to night. Banjos, fiddles, guitars and mandolins are all welcome.
Food, drink and the taproom
A range of catering vans will be on site, offering quality food throughout the day. Festival-goers can also visit The Taproom, the farm’s own brewery and bar, serving a selection of refreshing drinks to enjoy alongside the live performances.
Camping and facilities
Camping is available in the fields surrounding the farm, with space for tents and vans. Running water and toilets will be provided, although there are no electrical hook-ups.
The farm is dog-friendly, provided dogs are well trained and kept on leads at all times.
King Harvest promises a laid-back celebration of roots music in a welcoming countryside setting, just a short journey from the capital.
