Yet More For Shrewsbury 2026

Jan 23, 2026

Further names to add to the growing reputation of Shrewsbury Folk Festival have been released by their press office concerning the 2026 line up and there are some real gems. Chief amongst them is the splendid American roots rock artist Lucinda Williams whose albums – especially ‘Car Wheels On A Gravel Road,’ get regular spins round these parts. Below are all the details you need. Looks to us like Shrewsbury’s already an essential weekend for anyone with common sense. Tell them Spiral Earth sent you!

“The countdown to Shrewsbury Folk Festival 2026 just got a whole lot more exciting! Even more incredible artists are joining the line-up this August – take a look at who’s just been announced and start counting down to another unforgettable summer of music, magic and celebration. ✨

Three times Grammy Award winning singer songwriter and guitarist Lucinda Williams heads to Shrewsbury for the very first time to top the bill on the Severn stage on Sunday. And we’re also very excited to host the first ever UK performance of Talisk x Gardiner Brothers: Unleashed.

It will be the ONLY chance to see this show, which unites the Scottish musicians with dancers led by five-time world champions and the former leads in Riverdance, Michael and Matthew Gardiner, in the UK this year. The high-energy showcase blends Talisk’s groundbreaking melodies with the Gardiners’ stunning viral choreography, celebrating tradition and innovation in an unforgettable fusion of music and dance.

Other names just added are The Seeger Sessions RevivalGoitse (Ireland), Natu Camara (Guinea), The HunchBlowzabellaRum Ragged (Canada), Juno nominated singer writer Kellie Loder (Canada), The Zydeco DiamondsGreg RussellHolly Clarke, Pressgang Mutiny (Canada), Three Rivers and Shropshire bands The Endings and Devil in the Whiskey.

The heart of Shrewsbury Folk Festival will be beating strong in the Dance Tent once again this year with a fabulous line-up of bands to keep you moving all weekend long. From ceilidhs to bals and contra dances, there’s something for everyone to join in. Add in the return of one of last year’s favourites, our much-loved dance party and the annual dance show, the Dance Tent is the place to hang out.

Night fever, night fever, we know how to do it.
