John Parker; previously of Nizlopi (JCB Song fame) and Cliff Ward, Co-founding member of The Willows, are a duo that now seem like an act that destiny brought together. Between them they hold many years experience on the stage and are excited to be performing together.
Their first encounter was through Stu Hanna performing as the Megson band in 2016/17 (main stage Cambridge Folk Festival) and from the first rehearsal the two jelled together with the same musicality and sense of humour.
After many years compiling a long list of solo songs Cliff felt the time was right to start going out playing them and John was onboard from the outset.
Alternative, acoustic jazz/pop with influences from John Martyn, John Butler, Newton Faulkner and many more; this duo create a rich and full bodied sound with memorable songs to boot!
After such a short time the band have already secured spots at Strawberry Fair and Ely Folk Festival and are set to release their first single Broke My Heart on June 1st.
