The latest from the eager beavers at Shrewsbury…..

Besides the INCREDIBLE line up of music at this year’s festival August 25th -28th, there’s so much else going on at Shrewsbury, you’ll wish there were more hours in the day!

There’ll be lots of opportunities to learn from the experts in Morris, Appalachian step dance and more in our dedicated tent, which is based in the heart of the festival site. There’s also a whole host of workshops taking place on the Village Stage and the Morris spot in the food village during the festival.

Tuneworks is back in the Goldfinch tent with many, many hours of sessions and instrument workshops to suit musicians of all levels. And we’re delighted to have Jon Boden with an informal folk-song singalong / workshop on Saturday, Maddy Prior Rose-Ellen Kemp with a vocal workshop on Sunday

Yoga, pilates, kirtan, guided walks, crafting, Shrewsbury Park Run and a chance for solo festivalgoers to meet up – these are just a few of the other activities you can get involved in.

Our very own children’s festival for kids from Wee Folkies up to 10-years-old. There’s a packed programme of activities including music, dance, crafts, storytelling, games, silent disco and much more.

Refolkus is THE place to be for 11-20-year-olds. With more chances to make cool stuff, learn awesome new skills and just chill out with tunes in the bell tent, head to the Reef for our dedicated youth festival.

Our friends at Salopian Brewery – and sponsors of The Salopian Berwick Bar – are on hand helping you to get into the festival spirit with their special beer selection too. The mixed case of 10 of Salopian’s Core and Black range features some of its most popular beers including Shropshire Gold and Darwin’s Origin and some specially selected black label beers, coupled with a pair of Salopian ‘Etched’ pint glasses.”
