Suffolk based, multi-instrumentalist folk and roots duo Honey & The Bear are off on the road this spring touring their latest album Journey through the Roke.
Husband and wife team Lucy and Jon Hart created the album as a lockdown project; writing, recording and producing it as part of their weekly livestream. They are now looking forward to a busy year of gigs and festivals to share it far and wide.
Touring alongside them will be multi-instrumentalist Toby Shaer and percussionist Evan Carson (both of Sam Kelly & the Lost boys fame). Together they deliver an engaging smorgasbord of songs – mixing tempos and textures, light and shade which results in a genre-hopping mix. They manage to deliver tunes rooted in Folk but branching into Americana, Country, Rock and even mainstream-nudging numbers which co-exist as they deliver their seamless live performance.
Here’s a reminder of the amazing animated video produced last year, Bury in Ivy.
Loyal fans of their weekly livestream will be rushing to snap up tickets for these live events, so best not dilly dally.
