Steeleye Span Invite Fans to Create Official Tour Visuals for Upcoming Live Shows
Legendary folk-rock pioneers Steeleye Span are inviting fans to become part of the band’s live show by creating original visuals that could be projected behind the band during selected performances on their forthcoming tour.
The competition offers a rare opportunity for artists, animators, filmmakers, photographers and creative fans to have their work featured as part of Steeleye Span’s official live production, with audiences across the UK seeing the winning entries on the big screen behind the band.
Entries can take almost any form, including video, animation, photography, AI-assisted artwork, slideshows of still images or any other original visual interpretation inspired by the band’s music.
Lead singer Maddy Prior said:
“Steeleye Span’s songs are full of vivid stories and imagery, and we’re inviting fans to help bring them to life on stage. Whether it’s video, animation, photography, AI, slideshow of still images or something completely different, we’d love to see your ideas.”
The competition is open to everyone, whether you’re an experienced creator or simply looking for a new creative challenge. The band is looking for imagination rather than expensive equipment or professional experience, and encourages entrants to interpret the songs in their own unique style.
