Skerryvore UK Autumn Tour Dates

Oct 22, 2021

Formed by brothers Daniel Gillespie (accordion) and Martin Gillespie (pipes, whistles and accordion) along with Fraser West (drums) and Alec Dalglish (guitar and vocals) on the Isle of Tiree in 2005, Skerryvore’s line-up includes Craig Espie (fiddle) and Jodie Bremaneson (bass), Scott Wood (pipes and whistles) and Alan Scobie (keyboards).  Together they fuse their traditional west coast roots with pop, folk and country influences to create their own high-energy brand of contemporary Scottish music.

Alec Dalglish’s vocals take influence from across the Atlantic.  Often compared to Runrig, Rascal Flatts, Eagles & Jackson Browne the Pop-Folk-American undertone is evident but subtle and is fused with the band’s Scottish upbringing to create something truly unique.

Over the last 15 years the band has performed in more than 25 countries worldwide including across the UK, Europe, USA, Canada and Australia.  In September 2021 they are off to play an 11 date tour in the USA and then a few dates in Holland and Denmark before embarking on their UK Tour.

Skerryvore released two singles over the last few months , both were playlisted on BBC Radio 2.  The Band hit the number one spot in the Scottish Charts, and also  iTunes UK download chart with a song dedicated to the NHS workers battling the coronavirus outbreak called “Everyday Heroes”.  The song has raised thousands of pounds for NHS Charities.

This 2021 Tour will be and exciting  comeback for the band.  They can’t wait to hit the road and play to enthusiastic audiences.  The fans who already know and love Skerryvore are fast buying tickets to this already partially sold out tour. They hope to entice new fans to become staunch followers of their exhilarating live shows and music.
