A Wish & a Tide – the fourth album from popular Suffolk duo Honey & The Bear –is released today, St George’s Day
Husband and wife Jon and Lucy Hart who live at Benhall, near Saxmundham in Suffolk, recently celebrated their tenth anniversary on the road and performed live in session on BBC Radio 3’s In Tune. Their engaging original songs are steeped in their home county of Suffolk – the landscape, past and modern day heroes and heroines, rich folklore and the ever present sea.
The track The Air That We Breathe tells how Jon and Lucy have planted oak trees in the Suffolk lanes around their home for future generations to enjoy. Says Jon:
“After our daughter Gracie was born we hit on the idea of planting young oaks we had grown and we’re now up to around 100 with more to come – little seeds for the future.”
They have released a new video of the opening track, filmed at Orford in Suffolk

They are busy touring the album, as a duo, with their full band and a couple of double headliners with fellow East Anglian Sam Kelly – so check your diaries!
