Jacob & Drinkwater ‘Waters of England 2’ Autumn Tour

Aug 12, 2022

Jacob & Drinkwater have come a long way since their first gig together in a tea tent at Glastonbury 2014; cementing their reputation as one of the most enthralling live acts on the scene. The duo of acoustic singer-songwriter Tobias ben Jacob and multi-instrumentalist Lukas Drinkwater return with a UK tour this September.

Combining touring with their love for wild swimming and the great outdoors the duo are pitching the Autumn tour as the sequel to their successful and fondly remembered 2018 ‘Waters of England’ tour. The open water swimming offers a mental and physical boost from hours spent on the road, and with the help from local fan knowledge the duo set off on an adventure to discover some of our nation’s beautiful, hidden swim spots.

The live show will capture the sonic landscape of new album ‘More Notes From The Field’ broadening out from their core sound of finger-picked guitar, upright bass and rich harmonies that the duo are known for. These shows offer a chance to see two of our best writers and performers back doing what they love; expect a dynamic and emotionally varied gig sprinkled with moments of musical brilliance, joy, spontaneity and humour.

‘Exactly the kind of deep intense and brilliant thing we’ve come to expect from Jacob & Drinkwater’   BBC Music Introducing
