One of the most celebrated events in the UK summer calendar, Cambridge Folk Festival is delighted to announce that tickets are now on sale for 2024. The Festival will take place from Thursday 25 July to Sunday 28 July in the picturesque grounds of Cherry Hinton Hall.

Cambridge Folk Festival is one of the longest running and most prestigious folk festivals in the world. Established by Cambridge City Council and held each year since 1965, the Festival is renowned for its unique atmosphere and eclectic mix of music. It attracts legendary traditional folk artists along with cutting edge contemporary acts, the finest Americana, blues and roots artists, world music and acclaimed singer songwriters.

During a bumper 2023 festival, a fabulously diverse range of artists took to the stages at Cherry Hinton, from internationally renowned headliners like Rufus Wainwright, Arrested Development, The Proclaimers, Judy Collins, Lady Blackbird and Angelique Kidjo to the most dazzling rising stars of the genre, including Frankie Archer who won the coveted Christian Raphael Prize for emerging artists.

2024 will continue the Cambridge tradition of showcasing the best in folk and contemporary roots music from across the globe. Look out for the first line-up announcement in the new year. It also marks 60 years since the Festival was established in 1964. Due to two years of Covid cancellations, the Festival looks forward to celebrating its 60th event in 2026.

Alongside the world-class music, there is so much more to enjoy over the Festival weekend, including dedicated children’s activities; workshops on instrument making and song writing; a silent ceilidh, storytelling, clog dancing, juggling, tai-chi, plus an incredible selection of mouth-watering food trucks and bars from some of Cambridge’s finest food merchants. Join the Cambridge community now and look forward to a truly magical weekend for every member of the family next summer.
